Rome, GA - The Lexington Legends defeated the Rome Braves 2-0 Thursday night in front of 2,203 fans at State Mutual Stadium. This was the fifth straight loss for Rome.

Rome starter Ronan Pacheco was stingy in all but one inning allowing the Legends only one earned run in four innings pitched. In the top of the fourth Lexington capitalized on a fielding error by Kyle Davis and pushed across two runs. Chris Wallace drove in the Legends first run on a sacrifice fly and later in the inning Mike Kvasncka added another run on an RBI single making it a 2-0 game.

Rome's offense could not get going and Lexington would hold on for the 2-0 shutout. Rome has been outscored 17-8 during the current five game losing skid and looks to turn things around over the weekend.

Luis Cruz (1-0) gets the win for Lexington and Ronan Pacheco (2-5) takes the loss for Rome. Jorge De Leon (9) picks up the save.

Rome and Lexington play tomorrow at 7pm. It is Duffel Bag Night for the first 1,000 fans with paid admission receiving the give-a-way item. For ticket information, contact the Rome Braves at 706-378-5144 or log onto www.romebraves.com.
