MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Yolmer Sanchez plated three runs with a pair of run-scoring singles and Vaughn Grissom launched a grand slam as the Gwinnett Stripers (39-50) closed out a three-game series with an 11-3 win over the Memphis Redbirds (44-46) on Sunday afternoon at AutoZone Park. The Stripers took two of three in the weekend set, winning their first road series since their last visit to Memphis from May 16-21.

Decisive Plays: Sanchez staked the Stripers to a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the second inning. Bases-loaded walks to Dalton Guthrie in the second and Joshua Fuentes in the third increased the advantage to 3-0. Memphis scored twice against AJ Smith-Shawver to get as close as 3-2 in the third, but Gwinnett's six-run fifth put the game away. Sanchez blooped a two-run single and Grissom followed with a 402-foot grand slam (3) to left-center to make it 9-2. Luke Williams added an RBI single in the sixth and Magneuris Sierra belted a solo homer (1) in the eighth.

Key Contributors: Sanchez (2-for-4, 3 RBIs) and Grissom (2-for-6, homer, 4 RBIs) combined to drive in seven of the 11 runs for the Stripers. Seth Elledge (W, 1-1), Daysbel Hernandez, Roel Ramirez, and Beau Burrows combined on 5.0 one-run innings in relief of Smith-Shawver. For Memphis, Masyn Winn went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Noteworthy: Grissom's homer was his first since May 9 at Nashville, and Gwinnett's seventh grand slam this season. The 11 runs were the Stripers' most since a 16-0 win on June 2 at Norfolk. The win was just the fourth on a Sunday for Gwinnett this year (now 4-12).

Next Game (Tuesday, July 18): Gwinnett vs. Norfolk, 7:05 p.m. ET at Coolray Field. Broadcast: 6:50 p.m. on MyCountry993.com and Bally Live. It's Family Value Tuesday at Coolray Field, with hot dogs for $2 and desserts going for just $1.
