Hagerstown Suns News Release

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hagerstown Suns will host two Strike Out Hunger nights, May 19 and June 2, to collect donations for the Maryland Food Bank and Food Resources, Inc. as part of the South Atlantic League Step-Up to the Plate All-Star Challenge.

Both Strike Out Hunger nights will feature a food drive and raffle. Fans who bring at least five items to donate to the drive will receive a free general admission ticket to that game. A raffle will be held for a chance to win prizes, including four tickets to a Washington Nationals game of the winner's choice, tickets to future Suns games, Suns autographed baseballs and more.

The first Strike Out Hunger night, this Thursday, will have a silent auction for the opportunity to throw out the first pitch on June 2, four tickets to that game, an autographed baseball and $20 of ballpark credit for concessions.

Monetary donations will also be accepted. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the raffle and auction, along with all monetary contributions, will be given to the Maryland Food Bank. All food donations will be given to Food Resources, Inc in Hagerstown.

The Hagerstown Suns play at Municipal Stadium and are a Class "A" affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Season tickets, mini-plans, and group packages with the Suns are now on sale.
