North Augusta, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of San Francisco Giants, swept the three game series against the Columbia Fireflies on Sunday by a score of 2-0.

Hits were hard to come by on Sunday afternoon as both pitching staffs gave up a total of eight hits. The game was scoreless until the fifth inning, when Logan Baldwin doubled off the left field wall to score Ryan Kirby from second. In the eighth inning, Ryan Kirby hit a solo home run to center field to give the GreenJackets an insurance run. They wouldn't need it, as they easily closed it out in the ninth inning.

On the mound, the GreenJackets continued to dominate. Garrett Cave got the start on the mound and went five innings, giving up only two hits. Then John Russell got the ball as he threw two inning for the GreenJackets. Russell would go on to win his third game of the season. In the seventh inning, Camilo Doval came in and pitched a clean inning. Then the ball was turned over to Franklin Van Gurp for the six out save. He did not give up a hit in his appearance and secured his third save of the season.

For the entire three game series, the GreenJackets pitching staff only gave up two runs to the Fireflies.

The first place GreenJackets will now head to West Virginia for a three game series against the Power.
