Orlando City SC News Release
Floodgates Open?
Orlando City ended its scoreless streak at 507 minutes when F Dom Dwyer put away D Scott Sutter's cross in the 57th minute on Wednesday against Seattle. Rookie F Chris Mueller also picked up his 7th assist of the season, moving into sole possession of 2nd place on the team.
Milestone Tracker
- F Dom Dwyer's next goal will be his 14th of the season, which would tie F Cyle Larin (14, 2016) for 2nd-most in a single season in Club history. Larin holds the single-season Club record with 17 in 2015.
- M Sacha Kljestan's next assist will be the 91st of his career and tie him with M Cobi Jones for 8th-most in MLS history (regular season only)
- Orlando City is 5 goals away from its 200th all-time across all competitions.
If You're First, You're Last
On Wednesday against Seattle, Orlando City conceded its 71st and 72nd goals of the season, setting the MLS record. However, the San Jose Earthquakes have allowed 69 goals through 32 games this season and play Colorado and Seattle to close the season.
Déjà vu
Columbus Crew SC was the opponent for the 2017 regular-season home finale. Crew F Ola Kamara scored the game's only goal. Orlando City is 2-1-0 all-time in its home finales. City defeated New York City 2-1 on Oct. 16, 2015 and D.C. United 4-2 on Oct. 23, 2016.
Back in Purple
Orlando City will have M Yoshi Yotún (Peru), D Amro Tarek (Egypt) and D Mohamed El-Munir (Libya) available for selection after the trio returned from national team duty earlier this week.
Yotún played 90 minutes in Peru's 3-0 win over Chile in El Clasico del Pacifico on Oct. 12. Yotún came on as a sub in Peru's 1-1 draw against the United States on Oct. 16.
Tarek made his first career senior international start for Egypt in its 4-1 win over Swaziland in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying on Oct. 12.
El-Munir played 90 minutes in both of Libya's losses to Nigeria in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying last week.
