Lake Elsinore Storm News Release
LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - The Lake Elsinore Storm is pleased to welcome South West Riverside News Network, SWRNN.com, to our area. Headed by Murrieta resident Jose Arballo Jr., SWRNN.com will focus on local breaking news, sports, events, lifestyle and entertainment information. The goal is to become a community hub where Southwest residents can also share their thoughts on topics from the serious to the humorous.
Last Thursday, Arballo celebrated SWRNN's launch by throwing out the first pitch at the Storm baseball game. He has more than 20 years of journalism experience at The Press-Enterprise where he served as an editor and reporter. The staff also includes many Southwest Riverside writers. SWRNN.com will be updated several times during the day so that Southwest residents receive the latest news.
Arballo welcomes community participation, and you can contact him at Jose.Arballo@swrnn.com if you have ideas for stories or if you would like to submit an article or column for publication. Here is what he says about SWRNN.com: "SWRNN is the place where South West is spoken with ease."
What we at SWRNN want is a conversation with Southwest Riverside County - from Temecula to Lake Elsinore to Hemet -- and a key part of good communication is listening. I've always believed that your customer will tell you what you should do and how well you are doing it.
So Southwest Riverside County - you are our customer. And as we begin our conversation today with a beta launch of our offering, we suggest, we encourage and we exhort you to participate. Let us know what you like and don't like. Come on Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Hemet, Menifee and Wildomar. You may be busy commuting to work, going to school, or playing at Pechanga but you are not shy.
We want to become the premier place for all things South West. Local politics, education, entertainment and sports - high school to farm club to pros -- are among the topics that we will be covering. Our goal is to give you what you need or want when you need or want it.
We live here and care about the community. We buy groceries at the Albertson's in Murrieta, drink coffee at the Starbucks in Temecula, go to the movies in Lake Elsinore and watch the Ramona Outdoor Pageant in Hemet. Our interests are your interests. We at SWRNN are parents, students, newcomers, old timers and pet lovers. We ride horses, workout, enjoy wine and worry about money. Over the next few months, we'll be rolling out a multitude of sections for you to peruse, wander and perhaps even wonder.
One last note- not taking ourselves too seriously, we promise to support the irreverent and the humorous as well as the critically important and the serious.
Welcome to the conversation. So, what's on your mind? Please email Jose at jose.arballo@swrnn.com and visit SWRNN.com.
