This Week's Opponents
Chicago: Seattle is a perfect 2-0 against Chicago all-time, sweeping the season series last year during the Sky's inaugural season. The Storm won the two games by identical 13-point margins, with Lauren Jackson leading the way both times. Jackson averaged 23.0 ppg against the Sky last year while shooting 59.3 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from behind the arc.
Indiana: The Fever swept the Storm last summer, marking the first time in seven years of matchups that Seattle failed to win at least one game against Indiana. All-Star Tamika Catchings was the difference last season, averaging 19.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 4.5 apg in the two meetings. The Fever's win at KeyArena last summer on July 9 was Seattle's first-ever home loss to Indiana. The Storm still hold a 7-5 edge in the all-time series.
Houston: The Storm made franchise history in the first meeting against Houston this season, overcoming a 22-point deficit to post an 82-69 win on Opening Night. Seattle used a 44-9 run over the final 15 minutes of the game to fuel the largest comeback in club history. Iziane Castro Marques led the way with 25 points while Jackson pitched in 23 pints and 10 rebounds. The win also snapped a four-game losing streak against the Comets. Seattle trails 17-8 in the all-time series.
