New York Liberty News Release
Tonight's match-up at Madison Square Garden pits the 5-2 Liberty against the 0-7 Mystics for the second-time this season. New York is looking to sweep Alana Beard and Washington at home, having bested them, 81-76 on May 24th.
Whenever these two teams face off, you're sure to see a great game of basketball. Three current Liberty players recorded their season-highs in last month's match-up - Shameka Christon connected on three of five three-pointers, Barb Farris came off the bench to score 11 points and grab six rebounds, Cathrine Kraayeveld dished out five assists and Erin Thorn pulled down eight boards.
And don't forget, the new-look Liberty is all about the long ball. When you come to the game, you'll see three of the WNBA's Top 10 three-point shooters in Loree Moore, Cathrine Kraayeveld and Erin Thorn.
