Tri-City Storm News Release
SIOUX CITY, IA. - The Tri-City Storm travels to Sioux City, IA tonight to begin a weekend series at the Tyson Events Center against the Sioux City Musketeers. Last weekend, the Storm completed a two-game sweep of the Omaha Lancers. Puck drop for tonight's road game is scheduled for 6:05pm.
Tri-City (7-2-0-0) enters tonight's game against the Musketeers having played the least number of games of any USHL team this season. Tri-City did not play last night and was dormant on a Friday night for the second time since the beginning of the regular season. A win over the Musketeers would give Tri-City eight wins in its opening ten games for the third time in the past five seasons. Tri-City dropped the opening meeting of the season against Sioux City on October 22nd by a final score of 6-4. Tonight's game will be the second of nine games in this year's season series between the Storm and the Musketeers. The Storm's powerplay has scored ten goals this season and is ranked seventh in the league entering tonight's game (21.3%). Tri-City's penalty kill is currently third-best in the USHL (88.9%). Following tonight's road game against the Musketeers, Tri-City returns to action tomorrow afternoon in another road battle with Sioux City. Tri-City will host the Waterloo Black Hawks in back-to-back games next weekend at the Viaero Center. Friday, November 12th is the team's annual Military Appreciation Night game, and Saturday, November 13th's game is Teacher Appreciation Night and UNK Night.
Sioux City (6-2-1-1) hosts the Storm for back-to-back games this weekend at the Tyson Events center following a weekend split last weekend against the Lincoln Stars. Owen McLaughlin netted two goals for the Musketeers in last Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Stars. Nick Pierre also scored for Sioux City in the loss. Tonight's game is the second game of a five-game homestand for the Musketeers. Sioux City's powerplay enters the game ranked ninth in the league (20.8%). The Musketeers' penalty kill is also currently ranked ninth in the USHL (81.8%). Scoring leaders for Sioux City through the opening ten games of the season include Owen McLaughlin (7), Charlie Schoen (6), Ben Steeves (5), Kirklan Irey (5), Dylan James (3), and Nick Pierre (3). Alex Mangbo and Alex Tracy have split time in net this season for Sioux City. Mangbo is currently 3-1-1-1 and Tracy holds a record of 3-1-0-0.

Forward Haden Kruse has been added to Tri-City's roster as a replacement player. Josh Eernisse will be unavailable to the Storm this weekend as he serves a two-game suspension for a roughing incident during last Saturday's home game against the Omaha Lancers.
