GENEVA, ILLINOIS -- The Chicago Steel (10-2-3-0; 23 pts.) roared with four third-period goals, erasing a 2-0 deficit to defeat the Dubuque Fighting Saints (7-1-2-2; 18 pts.) 4-3 at Fox Valley Ice Arena Saturday night.

It was Dubuque's first regulation loss in 12 games this season.

Libertyville, Ill., native, Chris Able, scored his first USHL goal, a marker that put Chicago ahead for the first time in the game, late into the final frame. Steel forwards Jack Harvey and Sam Lipkin pushed themselves into a share of the team lead in goals, both netting their eighth markers of the year. USHL points leader Jackson Blake added a marker, giving him 21 points (7G, 14A) this season.

The Steel had numerous chances in the first frame but Fighting Saints netminder Paxton Geisel answered the bell, helping Dubuque secure an early lead.

Geisel denied Steel rookie forward Jayden Perron on two chances on the doorstep with a blocker save on a rebound, highlighting the nine shots the Steel fired in the first frame.

Dubuque scored the first goal of the contest late in the first off a fortuitous board bounce, landing on the blade of Max Montes' stick in the slot. Montes slid the puck to Fighting Saints forward Kenny Conners in the right circle who gave Dubuque a 1-0 advantage.

In the middle frame, Mirabel, Québec, native Tristian Lemyre put Dubuque in the driver 's seat 2-0 on a one-timer powerplay goal.

Giesel stopped all 10 shots fired his way in the middle frame, setting up the dramatic come- from-behind win for Chicago.

In the third period, Steel forward Jack Harvey cut the deficit to 2-1. Harvey received an Austen May pass and waited out Giesel for his 8th goal of the season, making a patient forehand- backhand move.

Less than five minutes later, Arizona Coyotes prospect Sam Lipkin tied the game at 2-2. Steel forward Luke Levandowski, appearing in his second game of the season, blazed through the Dubuque defense and drizzled a perfect feed to Lipkin who backhanded it behind Giesel for the equalizer.

It was white knuckles time as teams traded chances until the Steel got their first lead of the night. Adam Fantilli charged from the defensive zone through the Fighting Saints blueline and found Libertyville, Ill., native Chris Able for his first career USHL goal, giving the Steel a 3-2 lead.

With just under five minutes to play, the Steel took a two-goal lead. Carolina Hurricanes prospect Jackson Blake swooped into the rush and buried a pass from May, the second helper of the game for May, sending the Fox Valley Ice Arena crowd into a frenzy.

Dubuque answered thirty- five seconds after Blake's marker, cutting the deficit to 4-3 On a powerplay, Samuel Sjolund wristed his fourth of the season through traffic with just over three minutes left.

Despite Dubuque peppering Gibson Homer through the final two minutes with an extra attacker, the Steel finished with a strong defensive effort in their own zone, securing Chicago's second consecutive victory.
