The Storm attack continued throughout the second period. Early in the frame Kyler Kovich (2:19) netted his first goal of the season. The Storm added another with Cole O'Hara (5:28) for a 4-0 lead. Nearing the end of the period, Carter Mazur (18:09) skated around the Lancers zone to end up scoring a wraparound goal for a 5-0 lead heading into the second intermission.
Right into the third period, the Storm extended their lead by 6 goals when Gavin Brindley (0:18) snuck the puck past Riley. The Storm kept their attack going with another goal by Hunter Strand (2:39) for a 7-0 lead.
