Storm Sign Guard Doneeka Lewis

SEATTLE, Monday, July 16, 2007 - The Seattle Storm today signed 5-9 guard Doneeka Lewis to a seven-day contract, Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Anne Donovan announced.

The 25th overall pick in the 2004 WNBA Draft, Lewis appeared in all 34 games for the Los Angeles Sparks last season, averaging 3.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg and 1.9 apg. She holds career averages of 3.9 ppg, 1.2 rpg and 1.8 apg in three seasons with the Sparks. Lewis appeared in one preseason game for Los Angeles this summer, recording six points, four rebounds, one assist in 19 minutes, before being waived by the Sparks on May 18.

Born in New Orleans, Lewis attended Louisiana State University and averaged 11.8 ppg, 3.2 rpg and 2.7 apg in 129 career collegiate games. Lewis was named Second-Team All-SEC and Second-Team All-Louisiana following both her sophomore and junior seasons.
