
Storm Set for Teddy Bear Toss against Lancers

KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm is set to host its annual Teddy Bear Toss Game presented by Slumberland Furniture tonight at the Viaero Center. The matchup will feature a rivalry showdown between the Storm and the Omaha Lancers. Tickets for tonight's battle may be purchased online by skating to www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm CT.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new teddy bear to tonight's game to toss onto the ice following the Storm's first goal of the evening. The teddy bears collected at tonight's event will be donated to those in need during this holiday season. Santa Claus will also make his annual pre-Christmas visit to the Viaero Center during tonight's game! Storm fans of all ages are invited to come visit with Santa between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm tonight on the concourse!
Ticket specials for tonight's rivalry matchup include the first Nebraska Lottery Rivalry Pack of the season, and a $5 Kids Friday. The rivalry pack ticket package includes four tickets to tonight's game, four hot dogs, four sodas, and ten Nebraska Lottery Scratch-Off Tickets for $44. Tri-City (11-8-1-1) has posted a 4-4-1-1 record over the last ten games following last Saturday's 4-2 home loss to the Green Bay Gamblers. The Storm enters tonight's game as the 4th place team in the USHL's Western Conference standings. Tri-City is 12-3-2-2 in head-to-head games played against Omaha at the Viaero Center in the last five seasons. The Storm captured last season's series against the Lancers with a final record of 8-1-0-1 in ten games played. Tri-City will face off against Omaha eight times during the 2023-2024 regular season. Tonight's rivalry game between the Storm and the Lancers is the first meeting between the two teams this season, and is the Storm's only game of the weekend.
Omaha (4-15-2-0) enters tonight's game as the last-place team in the USHL's league standings. The Lancers have posted an overall record of 12-21-2-1 in head-to-head games played against the Storm over the last five seasons. Omaha began the season on an eleven-game winless streak, but the Lancers have bounced back to record victories in four of their last ten games. Omaha will return to action following tonight's road game against Tri-City tomorrow night with an additional road matchup against the Sioux City Musketeers at the Tyson Events Center.
Tonight's game is set to begin at 7:05pm CT and will be streamed on FloHockey and Storm Radio.
