SEATTLE – The Seattle Storm today announced the launching of the newly designed storm.wnba.com, the team's official Web site.

The new-look storm.wnba.com provides easier navigation with state-of-the-art tools for delivering to fans the most up-to-date team information, Storm articles, player appearance announcements and ticket information. The site also features expanded photo galleries, reformatted player biography pages and a sortable events calendar for upcoming games and community appearances.

"Our constant focus is providing our fans with the most efficient way to obtain the latest in Storm news and ticket information via our Web site," said Storm Chief Operating Officer Karen Bryant. "The new storm.wnba.com achieves our goal of enhancing the online Storm experience."

Storm.wnba.com, currently first in the WNBA in number of page views per visit, has recently tallied three times the overall page views from fans compared to the same period last year.

Storm.wnba.com, which has seen user traffic to ticket pages increase more than 40 percent this year, now offers enhanced ticket buying options for fans who log on to the site.

For information on 2005 Storm season tickets and ticket packages, log on to the new storm.wnba.com or call 206-217-WNBA.

The defending WNBA Champion Storm will open their 2005 season on ABC-TV against their Western Conference rival Los Angeles Sparks at KeyArena on Saturday, May 21 at 1 p.m. The following weekend, Seattle will host the Houston Comets on Friday, May 27 and the San Antonio Silver Stars on Sunday, May 29.

The Seattle Sonics & Storm manages the Puget Sound region's professional basketball franchises – the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics and the WNBA's Seattle Storm. The organization oversees all sales, marketing, finance, public relations and basketball operations for the teams. The Basketball Club of Seattle LLC owns both teams.
