KEARNEY – The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League is hosting a Hockey 101 for all fans prior to the Storm's game Saturday against Cedar Rapids. Hockey 101 will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Kearney Event Center and is open to anyone with a ticket to Saturday's game.

The session will include explanations and demonstrations by USHL veteran official Jonathan Morrison. Morrison will address a variety of hockey topics including faceoffs, icing, offsides, penalty shots, rules of the shootout, players changing on the fly and more. A question and answer session will also be conducted as time allows.

In addition to learning more about the rules of hockey, one person attending Hockey 101 will be chosen to participate in the first intermission contest that night. During that intermission one fan will take home an ATV courtesy of ESPN Radio.

Also, for the first time in league history, Morrison will wear a microphone as he referees Saturday's game between the Storm and the RoughRiders. Fans will be able to hear some of the conversations that Morrison and other officials have throughout a hockey game.
