- Sioux Falls picked up four points over the weekend to put themselves into a two way tie for second place in the Western Division with Omaha at sixteen points, one behind Lincoln.

- ‘87 Cedar Rapids rookie Hunter Bishop had three points in a win over Indiana in and early battle for first place in the Eastern Division.

- Brock Bradford (Omaha) tallied four points for a league leading nineteen points.

- USHL alumni have captured a sweep of the Red Baron WCHA Players of the Week award for the second straight week. This weeks winners are: Billy Hengen (Lincoln), Kellen Briggs (Sioux Falls), and Peter Mannino (Tri-City).

- Des Moines lost to Sioux City this weekend outshooting them 43 to 24 and going 0 for 6 on the powerplay.

- Two players for Sioux Falls ended the weekend with a +7 plus/minus rating. Patrick Mullen was +5 vs. Des Moines and +2 vs. Lincoln. Nate Prosser was +6 vs. Des Moines and +1 vs. Lincoln.

LPH/USHL Offensive Player of the Week:

Chad Rau -- Des Moines Buccaneers

Rau (Eden Prairie, MN), one of the leagues top scorers, received top honors this week for Offensive Player of the Week. He accumulated four points (2 goals, 2 assists) over the weekend, including one short-handed goal. The four point weekend puts Rau tied for eighth in the league in scoring with 12 points.

LPH/USHL Defensive Player of the Week:

Jimmy Spratt -- Sioux City Musketeers

Spratt (Chesterfield, MI), earned top honors for Defensive Player of the Week, posting a 2-0 record last weekend improving his record to 5-1 this season. Spratt faced 66 shots but turned away all but three totalling 63 saves in all. Spratt held his opponents scoreless in 10 powerplay opportunities over two games.
