Meyer off and rolling Carson Meyer finished with two goals and four points (2g, 2a) over the weekend, pushing him into a tie for third in the league with six goals and Tri-City's points lead (9pts).
The Storm scored seven goals over the weekend, and Meyer was on the ice for five. The Miami (OH) commit has been on the ice for 11 of the Storm's 24 goals - more than 45% of the Storm's offensive production.
Over his three game point streak, the 5-foot-9, 167-lb. forward three assists and five points. The native of Powell, OH started the regular season with four goals in the first four games of the season. Offensive-minded defensemen The defense pairing of Mattias Goransson and John Marino combined for two goals and four assists in two games this weekend, boosting each to seven points, tied for second in the league for defensemen points.
Goransson, in his second season with the Storm, had his first multi-goal game in the USHL, accumulating two tallies Friday against Omaha, including the overtime game-winner.
Marino began the season with five points in the first two games of the season. The Edmonton Oilers' 2015 sixth-round pick is a native of North Easton, MA and in his first season with Tri-City.
