
Second Annual Blackhawks Clinic Now on Sale

BLOOMINGTON, Illinois - The Bloomington Thunder announced Monday morning that they have officially begun signups for their second annual Chicago Blackhawks Kid's Clinic. Tickets are available for the clinic through the Thunder office by calling (309) 434-2980. The second annual clinic will be held at the Blackhawks home arena, the United Center on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m.
The clinic is just $135 which includes access on the ice at the United Center for the clinic and a ticket to that night's 6 p.m. game against the Colorado Avalanche. The Bloomington Thunder are also offering a free bus trip to the clinic and from the game for an additional $50. If you would like a memory to take home with you from the event, DVD's will be provided from the Chicago Blackhawks for $25. Parents may bring cameras with them for photography, but no video recordings will be allowed.
For an hour and 20 minutes on the ice at the United Center, Thunder fans will be taught by the Chicago Blackhawks youth crew and three members of the Bloomington Thunder roster. Ages for the event are from the mini mite to squirt divisions.
Kids signed up will be able to keep their Blackhawks junior jersey and also meet a Chicago Blackhawks player. In the 2015 Blackhawks clinic, players were treated to meeting forward Teuvo Teravainen before stepping out onto the ice. Each player will also receive a signed puck from the event as well.
Tickets for the game are also available without the clinic for the base price of $85. Overall there are 40 available spots for the Clinic and 200 total tickets to the game. Players signed up for the clinic MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the trip, but will not be allowed in the locker room. Thunder players and representatives will assist them getting ready for the clinic.
If fans plan to drive themselves to the clinic, they must be at the United Center loading dock no later than 1:30 p.m. For more information and questions regarding the trip, please contact Donna Wampler at the Thunder office at (309) 434-2982.
In addition to the clinic, you get a ticket to the Friday, Jan 15 Bloomington Thunder game against the Des Moines Buccaneers at 7 p.m. Bloomington will host the Buccaneers for the first of two games this season.
NEXT HOME GAME: Saturday, October 31st - 3 p.m. - Don't be tricked; be treated at the Thunder's Halloween afternoon game presented by CM Promotions. Kids can take part in a free trick or treat around the concourse at the game. Tickets start at $5 for kids and $10 for adults when calling the Thunder office. It's also part of the Saturday food special games. Kids get a free hot dog voucher when they enter the building and from 6-7 p.m. its buy one get one free hot dogs for everyone.
