Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that they have added forward Marc Norrington and defenseman Paul Crosty for the 2006-07 season.

"We only got to see Norrington in a few games towards the end last year but he has a tremendous work ethic and has great potential to succeed at the professional level," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Nick Vitucci. "Paul Crosty, is another player who I can see really making a splash this year. He looked good at Brown, and we are expecting the same dedication from him here. Dominic Vicari played at a high level with a high profile college program at Michigan State."

Marc Norrington enters his first full season with the Red and White this year. In 2005-06, Norrington logged six games of professional hockey after finishing a four-year career in the college ranks. The Grand Blanc, Michigan native had a strong senior season before joining the Storm, tallying 14 points (5 G, 9 A) with the Niagara Purple Eagles.

Paul Crosty will make his professional debut with the Storm after playing four years at Brown University. The 6'2, 220-pound defenseman logged 93 career games with the Bears, scoring 3 goals and adding 13 assists while racking up 136 PIM.

Vicari was a member of the 2005-06 CCHA Champion Michigan State Spartans. During last year's championship season, he posted a 2.62 goals-against average (GAA), compiling an 8-6-2 record in 16 games. A year earlier, Vicari excelled, making more than 1000 saves in 38 games for the Spartans. That season, he posted a 2.30 GAA and a 92.3 save percentage with five shutouts; his shutout numbers paced the CCHA and ranked fourth best among all college goaltenders.

The 16th Season of Toledo Storm Hockey debuts on October 20th at the Toledo Sports Arena when the Storm take on the archrival Dayton Bombers at 7:35. Season Tickets are on sale for the 2006-07 season. Contact the Storm office at 419-691-0200 or visit www.toledostorm.com for more information. Toledo Storm Hockey...Great Team, Great Time!
