Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm clinched a Western Conference Regular Season Championship tonight at the Viaero Center despite a 3-2 loss to the Omaha Lancers. Following Sioux City's 5-2 home defeat of the Fargo Force, the Tri-City Storm has clinched the highest possible points percentage of any team in the Western Conference and has locked up a regular season conference championship for the fourth time in organization history. Tri-City will hold the #1 seed on the Western Conference side of the 2020-2021 Clark Cup Playoffs.

The Storm's Playoff Ticket Package is on sale now through April 30th and includes a ticket to every Storm home game throughout the 2021 Clark Cup Playoffs (Minimum of two games). Prices are $60 for Glass, $40 for Adults, and $20 for Kids. 2020-2021 Storm Season Ticket Holders will receive complimentary tickets to every home game in the postseason.

Ben Schoen netted his sixteenth goal of the regular season just fifty-nine seconds into Friday's 1st period to give the Storm a 1-0 lead on home ice. The goal by Schoen was assisted by Gavin Brindley and Mason Wheeler. Brindley's assist was his thirteenth on the season and the assist by Wheeler was his sixth of the year. At 7:40 of the 1st period, Michael Posma scored his thirteenth goal of the season for Omaha to tie the game at 1-1. Owen Fowler and Andrew Centrella recorded assists on the play. With only thirty-three seconds left to play in Friday's 1st period, Omaha's Kienan Draper scored his third goal of the season to put the Lancers in front by one goal. Tri-City outshot Omaha 14-12 in the 1st period but trailed 2-1 entering the 2nd period.

Owen Fowler scored a shorthanded goal at 8:54 of the 2nd period to give Omaha a two-goal lead in Friday's game. Fowler's goal was unassisted. With less than two minutes to play in the 2nd period, Ben Schoen scored his second goal of the game and seventeenth goal of the season to cut the Omaha lead in half. Matthew Knies recorded his twenty-fifth assist of the season and Conner Hutchison notched his eleventh assist on the year on the scoring play. Tri-City outshot Omaha 19-10 in the 2nd period and the game entered the 3rd period with the Lancers leading 3-2.

No goals were scored in the 3rd period and the Lancers defeated the Storm by a final score of 3-2. Todd Scott recorded the loss in net for Tri-City after making twenty-three saves on twenty-six shots. Jakub Dobes turned aside forty-two of Tri-City's forty-four shots on goal.
