
Stampede Finish on the Road with 3-1 Loss

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Sioux Falls Stampede finished their road schedule with a 3-1 loss to the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box Friday night. Reid Pabich opened the scoring in the first period before the Stars tallied three unanswered in the third. Trent Burnham made the start in net, stopping 35 of 38 shots on net.
The Sioux Falls Stampede opened the scoring first for just the sixteenth time this season with a goal from Reid Pabich at 6:09 of the first period. The injury depleted roster held strong through the remainder of the period and for the complete twenty minutes of period two.
The breakdown began at 2:06 into the third period with a goal from Luke Mittlestadt who tied the game and another from Nick Nardecchia five minutes later to take the lead. Dominic Jones scored the final goal of the contest at 11:44 to seal the 3-1 victory.
The Herd hosts its final game of the 2020-21 season at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center tomorrow night. The annual Take My Jersey night will be hosted with the first 1,000 kids 12 and under receiving a free replica third jersey presented by First PREMIER Bank/PREMIER Bankcard.
