Storm Announce Opening Night Festivities

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced its lineup for opening night 2004. Friday, October 22nd, will feature the Toledo Storm against the Wheeling Nailers with a before game parking lot tailgate party along with a post game concert with 1991 American Music Award winner Firehouse.

The night will begin at 4pm with a parking lot party that will run until 7pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase outside the arena during that time. The parking lot party will also feature live music along with activities and face painting for the kids. At 7:30pm the puck will drop on the 2004 season between the Toledo Storm and the Wheeling Nailers. Following the game will be the concert featuring the band Firehouse.

Assistant General Manager Tony Gill discussed the night; "This is going to be one special night in Toledo hockey history, not to mention a great night of entertainment for our fans. We will start early and end late! It's a great way to open the 2004 season, and we are very grateful to have the band Firehouse to perform."

Firehouse, winners of the 1991 American Music Award for Best New Hard Rock/Metal Band, will sing the National Anthem prior to the start of contest. The post game concert will start shortly after the hockey action. Firehouse has produced Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum records in just over a decade. Some of the most popular songs from Firehouse include: Don't Treat Me Bad, Love of a Lifetime, and When I look into your Eyes.
