Greenville Grrrowl News Release
GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers, have announced a new marketing and advertising campaign, developed by Showcase Marketing of Greenville, to emphasize family fun and entertainment at Grrrowl hockey games for the upcoming 2004-05 season. The new jingle can be heard by logging on to www.grrrowl.com.
"IT'S SHOWTIME" is the new slogan for 2004-05, the seventh season for the Greenville Grrrowl in the BI-LO Center. The logo and jingle are designed to feature all of the elements of entertainment that are available each night at Grrrowl home games, as well as the fast-paced professional hockey played on the ice.
"We have prided ourselves with offering highest level entertainment possible for all ages in the upstate at our games," stated Grrrowl Executive VP/GM, Byron K. Rucker. "The lineup of promotions, giveaways and sponsor driven entertainment will set a new standard for our fans, and is designed to make an impact with first-time fans as well. We work very hard to put on a great show every night, so the "Showtime" label closely mirrors our plans for the upcoming season of family fun in the stands and great hockey action on the ice."
Opening night â presented by Verizon Wireless (Friday, October 22, 2004 vs the Charlotte Checkers), will start the season with bang with an appearance by the World Famous ZOOPERSTARS, who return for the second season in Greenville. Joining the ZOOPERSTARS will be "Crazy Claude - The Happy Trumpeter" for his first appearance in front of the Greenville fans. Claude performed at the 2004 ECHL All-Star Game in Peoria, IL. Opening night will also be the first of three Scout Nights for the Grrrowl season. "The Hall Brothers" will be on hand to perform the National Anthem.
