The Stone Crabs embark on a stretch of 21 games in 20 days Tuesday, starting a three-game set with the Bradenton Marauders at 6:30 p.m. LHP Michael Plassmeyer makes the start for Charlotte, against RHP Osvaldo Bido of the Marauders.

Coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. on the Stone Crabs Baseball Network.

THRESHERS TAKE 3 OF 4 OVER WEEKEND

The Clearwater Threshers closed out a series win over the Stone Crabs Sunday, hanging on to a 2-1 lead to take three of four from Charlotte. Alejandro Requena baffled the Stone Crabs over the first five innings before the Threshers bullpen did the rest. Cristopher Sanchez struck out five batters over three scoreless innings of relief for the Stone Crabs.

DOMINATING THE DOG DAYS

The Stone Crabs' .667 winning percentage in June matched the second best month in franchise history. After an 19-8 start to July, they are one win away from the winningest month in franchise history:

ROMERO ROLLING

Stone Crabs starter Tommy Romero has been one of the best run preventors in Minor League Baseball this season. His ERA (1.87) ranks second amongst all active full season pitchers, trailing only Augusta's Seth Corry (1.85). Since the All-Star Break, Romero is a perfect 6-1 with a 1.19 ERA. He's held opponents to a .195 average over that time, and now leads the Florida State League in wins, ERA and WHIP.

Early in July, the Stone Crabs completed the longest winning streak in franchise history:
