Stoddard Nominated For Performance of the Week

Fresh on the heels of goaltender Kevin Beech's third shutout of the season being today named the Performance of the Week for the week ending February 1st, RiverKings forward Darrell Stoddard's four-goal third period has been nominated for the Performance of the Week for the week ending February 8th.

Stoddard scored four times in the RiverKings' 9-2 victory over the Wichita Thunder on Tuesday, February 3rd at the DeSoto Civic Center. It was a feat not seen in the Central Hockey League in nearly five years.

Two of Stoddard's goals came at full strength, while the last two goals were scored on the power play. The effort boosted his goal scoring total for the season from four to eight.

Fans can vote online for the Performance of the week at the Central Hockey League website, www.centralhockeyleague.com. Voting will take place through Monday, February 16th, with the winner being named on Tuesday, February 17th.

RiverKings hockey returns again tonight, when the Rocky Mountain Rage invades the DeSoto Civic Center. Game time tonight is at 7:05 PM, presented by Sycamore Bank and 95.3 FM "The Rebel." Tonight's featured non-profit is the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and the Mid-South. Tickets are available through the DCC box office and through Ticketmaster. New season tickets requests for next season are being taken now.
