Stockton's Gongalsky Suspended Two Games, Fined

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Tuesday that Stockton forward Igor Gongalsky has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #653 at Idaho on Mar. 1.

Gongalsky was assessed a major penalty and a Game Misconduct under Rule 46.5 Elbowing at 13:50 of the first period.

He is suspended and fined under Rule 29 Supplemental Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Gongalsky will miss Stockton's games at Phoenix (Mar. 3 and 4).
