ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades want to remind everyone that they are hosting their first ever "Pink in the Rink" night to benefit breast cancer research when they host the Mississippi Sea Wolves this Friday night, March 6 at 7:30 p.m.

The Everblades will be wearing special "Pink in the Rink" themed jerseys that will be auctioned off live following the game with the proceeds raised being split between the Cancer Alliance of Naples, Cape Coral Relay for Life and the Deb Kelsey Foundation.

In addition to the special jerseys worn by the players, Everblades long-time forward Ernie Hartlieb will be donating his hair to Locks of Love, which provides donated hair to financially disadvantaged children who are battling cancer in the US and Canada under the age of 18. Hartlieb will have his hair cut by his mother Randa who owns a hair salon in Michigan.

The Everblades are also extending an invitation to fans who are interested in donating their hair to participate after the game as well! Fans who are interested must make sure their hair meets the specific guildlines set by Locks of Love. To see a list of the guidelines click here or visit www.locksoflove.org.

Throughout the night both the Cancer Alliance of Naples and Cape Coral Relay for Life will have information tables set up on the concourse that fans can stop by and gain knowledge on how to help the fight against cancer.
