Stockton, Calif. - RW J.F. Caudron scored on the power play less than a minute into overtime to lead the Stockton Thunder (7-11-1-2, 15pts) to a 3-2 victory over the Bakersfield Condors (14-6-2-0, 30pts) Saturday night at Stockton Arena. Despite the loss, the Condors have earned a point in eight consecutive contests (6-0-2).

The Thunder notched the first goal of the game, exactly halfway through the first period, as LW Jason Pitton got his 5th of the season to make it 1-0. It was the only goal of the period, which featured only one penalty and a 9-8 shot lead for Stockton.

In the second frame, F Andrew Ianiero tied it up with his 8th of the season just 22 seconds in. Within the next four minutes both clubs lit the lamp with power play markers. LW Matt Robinson regained the lead for the Thunder, and C Adam Naglich once again tied it for the Condors. Shots were tied up at 19-19 through 40 minutes of play. The clock rolled quickly along in a tense third period. Scoring chances were few and far between as neither club could gain the upper hand. Several small skirmishes came after the whistle, and a scrap busted out between Naglich and Stockton D Jordan Bendfeld with just over eight minutes left. The clocked ticked down inside the final minute when the Condors were whistled for a late penalty, setting up the game winner in overtime.

The game-winning goal came just 35 seconds into the extra session, and for the second straight night it was Caudron scoring on the power play in overtime to provide the final margin.
