South Carolina Stingrays News Release

The South Carolina Stingrays pushed their winning streak to a season-high six games and extended their unbeaten streak to seven with a week record 4-0-0. The week kicked off on Tuesday as the Gwinnett Gladiators traveled to the North Charleston Coliseum. Forward Rob Ricci recorded his second professional hat trick as the Stingrays cruised to a 4-1 victory. The Trenton Devils rolled into town for a three-game in three-night series starting Friday. Ricci netted two goals including the game-winning tally to edge the Devils 3-2 Friday night. On Saturday, the Stingrays erased a two-goal deficit to defeat the Devils 3-2 in the shootout. Ricci and forward Jake Hauswirth lit the lamp and forward Samson Mahbod registered the only goal in the shootout for the win. The two teams wrapped up the regular-season series on Sunday. The Devils grabbed a 2-1 lead early in the second period, but the Rays retaliated with four unanswered goals to sweep the series.
