Stingrays Host Teddy Bear Toss

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays announced that they will hold the annual Live 5 Teddy Bear Toss for Debbie's Kids on Saturday, Dec. 2nd, when they host the Pensacola Ice Pilots at the North Charleston Coliseum.

The team encourages fans to bring in a new teddy bear or other stuffed animal and throw it onto the ice after the Stingrays score their first goal. All the stuffed animals collected will then be donated to Debbie's Kids in conjunction with the Salvation Army.

This is the eighth year for the Teddy Bear Toss with over 2,500 bears collected last year.

Join the Rays this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. when the Ice Pilots come to town. Prior to the game is "Street Rodin' with the Rays" presented by Advance Auto Parts. Entry into the event and a ticket to the game can be purchased for only $10. Contact Steve Fraser at 744-2248 x1203 for more information.
