Kozak recalled to Hartford

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Derek Wilkinson announced today that the Rick Kozak has been recalled to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

In 11 games with the Checkers, Kozak had three goals, two assists with 41 penalty minutes and had a plus-minus rating of +2.

The Checkers also released emergency backup goalie David Cacciola.

The Checkers are back at home Friday vs. Pensacola and Saturday vs. Augusta. On Friday, all fans who bring an old yellow pages book to the game for recycling will receive a ticket to an upcoming Checkers game courtesy of The Real Yellow Pages from BellSouth.
