Stingrays host Lynx tonight

South Carolina Stingrays News Release


The South Carolina Stingrays (0-1-1) will go for their first win of the season tonight when they drop the puck at 7:05 against the Augusta Lynx at the North Charleston Coliseum. The Rays lost to the Lynx in Augusta on Friday, October 21 4-2. Tonight's game is the second game of a three game home stand, which will wrap up on Saturday when the Rays host the Charlotte Checkers.

Second year professional Maxime Daigneault has been named the team's starter for the game tonight. The Stingrays will be without the services of Veteran Cail Maclean. The forward was injured in Saturday night shoot out loss to Columbia despite scoring two goals.

Augusta comes into the game with two wins in two chances on the season. Goaltender Seamus Kotyk (2-0) has yet to allow an even strength goal for the Lynx.

After the home game on Saturday against Charlotte, the Rays will wrap up the week with a Sunday afternoon game in Columbia at 5:05.
