Stingrays Gameday: 20th Anniversary Season Kicks off Tonight

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays kick off their 20th anniversary season tonight against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. Catch all the action live at StingraysHockey.com and inside the arena at 88.6 FM. Tonight is the first of 14 scheduled meetings between the two teams this season.

The Stingrays start their 20th anniversary celebration at 2:00 p.m. with a Stingrays Alumni Game featuring players from all 19 season of Stingrays hockey including fan favorites Brett Marietti, Dave Seitz, Rob Concannon, Kirk Daubenspeck, Matt Scherer, Nate Kiser and more! Admission and parking to the alumni game is free! The fun continues from 5-7 p.m. with Hockey Happy Hour featuring $2 beer! As the Stingrays battle the Gladiators, word-famous super fan Cameron Hughes will be dancing and throwing out t-shirts!

The Stingrays visit their in-state rivals, the Greenville Road Warriors, for the first time this season on Friday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, S.C. and return to the North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday, October 20 to face the Ontario Reign for the first time in team history. Saturday is Military Appreciation Night presented by General Dynamics featuring Stars and Stripes jerseys and auction and WWF superstar Sgt. Slaughter !
