Road Warriors Drop Second Game on the Road

Elmira, NY- The Road Warriors dropped their second straight game on the road trip with a 7-1 loss against the Elmira Jackals.

Through the first period the Jackals and Road Warriors had an even battle with the Jackals only collecting one goal. Rob Bellamy scored quickly just 2:16 into the game. The second period the Jackals controlled and didn't look back. Another quick goal was scored entering the period, this time only 3:20 into the period by Jordan Pietrus. Kyle Bushee would add another goal at the 12:35 marker of the period. Bretton Cameron would score the only goal of the night for the Road Warriors but 41 seconds later the Jackals responded. Brandon Bladina would beat Nathan Lieuwen to finish off the second period scoring. Sean Berkstresser would start the third period off with a 5 minute fighting major against Pietrus. It was not able to swing any momentum as the Jackals would score 3 more goals by Brad Peltz, Dustin Gazley and Jean Bourbeau. Marc Cheverie would stop 26 of 27 shots and was nominated as the games first star.

The Road Warriors return home on Friday October 19 against the South Carolina Stingrays.
