The Willmar Stingers knocked off the Rochester Honkers 10-3 on Sunday evening at Bill Taunton Stadium in Willmar. The Stingers collected 13 hits including a 3 for 4 performance by Mitch Rowan and Anthony Hincy. Also recording multiple hits were Rob Elliott & John Haberman. Starting pitcher Ricky Knapp improved his record to 2-0 by pitching 5 1/3 innings and striking out 8 batters.
The Stingers take on the Rochester Honkers in the final game of the three game series tomorrow night at Bill Taunton Stadium in Willmar. Monday night's game at 7:05pm is Water Bottle Night presented by Rice Memorial Hospital. The 1st 1,000 fans will receive a Stingers water bottle. The 2011 season is presented by Charter.
