
Sting Sign Lambton Local Owen MacDonald to OHL Standard Player Agreement

Sarnia, ON Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca Announced today that the Hockey Club has signed Mooretown, ON native Owen MacDonald to an Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
MacDonald, a 17-year-old blueliner grew up in the Lambton Jr. Sting AAA program. Playing the majority of the 2021-22 season with the Sarnia Legionnaires, MacDonald tallied 15 points in 27 games on the Legionnaires back end.
After being drafted 46th overall in the 2021 U18 OHL Priority Selection, MacDonald has suited up in seven games with the Sting this season. The 6'00' defenceman will sign his Ontario Hockey League Standard Player Agreement committing to his hometown club. Sting GM Dylan Seca comments on the recent signing.
