
Sting Complete Deal with Petes

SARNIA, ON - Sarnia Sting GM, Nick Sinclair announced that the Hockey Club has completed a trade with the Peterborough Petes. The trade sees the Sting receive Sault Ste. Marie's 3rd round pick in 2017 and Hamilton's 5th round pick in 2017 in exchange for overage C, Daniel Nikandrov.
Nikandrov was originally drafted in the 4th round of the 2011 OHL Priority Selection by the Sting. In 207 career games with the club, Daniel registered 37 goals and 75 assists for a career total of 112 points. This season, Nikandrov has tallied 4 goals and 6 assists in 18 games played.
"On behalf of the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club, I'd like to wish Daniel the best of luck as he finishes off his OHL career with the Peterborough Petes. We thank Daniel for everything he's done for the club over the last 4+ years in Sarnia," adds GM, Nick Sinclair.
The Sting return to the SSEC this weekend as the club plays host to the visiting Guelph Storm on Saturday night at 7:05PM.
