Sting captain Peter Lough named All-Star reserve

GLENDALE, AZ --- The National Lacrosse League announced today that Arizona Sting defenseman Peter Lough has been named to the West Division's All-Star Team as a reserve. This is the third straight year in which Peter will be competing in the league's mid-season showcase.

Currently in his fourth season with Arizona, 'The Punisher' has helped lead the Sting to a 5-2 record thus far in 2007. In addition to anchoring a defensive unit that has held opponents to an impressive 10.14 goals-per-game, Lough has tallied 0G-5A-5P and scooped up a team-high 47 loose balls. The 36 PIM he has accumulated thus far in '07 is the third-highest total in the NLL.

The East and West Division teams will each have twelve reserves. In conjunction with the six starters that were previously announced, a total of 18 players will compete on each All-Star Team. The league appoints three reserves on each squad, while the teams' coaching staffs select the remaining nine.
