Reading Fightin Phils News Release

The Reading Hot Dogs dropped a series finale against the Senators 6-3, despite the three-hit effort from Josh Stephen.

Stephen put Reading up early on a solo shot in the second, making it 1-0 through the first three innings.

Reading's starter Jack Perkins impressed for the second time this series, as he allowed just one earned run on four hits in six innings.

His only run came via a solo homerun in the fourth, which was erased two innings later on a two-run bomb from Arquimedes Gamboa in the sixth.

James McArthur appeared first in relief for the Fightins, and worked out of early trouble, only allowing two earned runs in his inning of work.

Zach Warren came in for the final two, and struck out five batters while allowing two earned.

The R-Phils were unable to answer the Senator's five runs in the seventh and eighth, losing Sunday's contest 6-3.
