Brampton Steelheads News Release

The Steelheads are coming home after a road loss to the league-leading Erie Otters. Mississauga's Cameron Zanussi made just his second OHL start in goal, and despite an impressive performance, was unable to hold the Otters' offence at bay. Rife with Central Division implications, all but Niagara play a divisional rival this weekend; Mississauga and North Bay each face two!

In their only home game this weekend, the Trout host the Sudbury Wolves for a Friday evening bout at the Hershey Centre. Mississauga's longest tenured Mayor will be in attendance, as the team is hosting a tribute to Mayor Hazel McCallion. The ceremony will serve as a token of the Steelheads' unwavering gratitude to the Mayor for all she has done to ensure that OHL hockey remain in Mississauga, but quite assuredly, Madam Mayor would also appreciate a win.

On Sunday the Steelheads will pay their second visit to North Bay this season. In the first meeting, Mississauga jumped out to an early 2-0 lead only to see the game slip away from them in the third period. The Battalion currently reside in first place in the Central Division, with 22 points in 16 games. Sunday will mark North Bay's third game in as many days, and the Steelheads will look to catch a tired Troop on their heels. Should Mississauga grab another lead in early goings of this one, they will surely be motivated to hold on and pick up two crucial intra-division points.
