November 26, 2021 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Brampton Steelheads News Release
The Steelheads overcame an early deficit to defeat the Sudbury Wolves 5-3 and extend their point streak to 11-straight games.
First Period
The red-hot Steelheads were looking to extend their point streak to 11 games against the Sudbury Wolves.
The Wolves opened the scoring at the 2:25 mark, courtesy of a Dylan Robinson shot from the blueline, which went between the pads of Steelheads netminder Joe Ranger. Sudbury extended their lead a minute later as Chase Stillman skated around a Steelheads defender, stuffing the puck past Ranger for a 2-0 Wolves lead.
Sudbury continued to pressure the Steelheads defence, but Ranger withstood the Wolves offensive attack with a great save on the Wolves' Dylan Robinson.
The Steelheads got on the board at the 8:22 mark, as James Hardie made a highlight-reel pass to Ethan Del Mastro, who made no mistake on a one-timer past Wolves netminder Mitchell Weeks. The Steelheads evened the score at the 14:24 mark as Zakary Lavoie scored his third goal of the season, shooting the puck past Weeks. Owen Beck received credit for the assist.

Just over two minutes later, the Steelheads extended the lead as Zakary Lavoie went top-shelf past Weeks for his second goal of the game. Ty Anselmini and Chas Sharpe received the assists.

Third Period
The Steelheads' defence stood tall in the final frame with great forechecking. However, the Wolves made things interesting with under nine minutes remaining, courtesy of Jack Thompson scoring on a rebound past Ranger to cut the Steelheads lead to 4-3.
Fortunately, the Steelheads responded with an insurance goal at the 13:45 mark. Michael Stubbs generated a Wolves turnover in the neutral zone, passing the puck to Kai Schwindt, who capitalized the opportunity with a five-hole shot past Weeks.
Steelheads clamped down in the closing minutes to preserve a hard-earned victory on the road.
