The Kitchener Rangers welcomed the Soo Greyhounds to The Aud for the second time this season. The Rangers were hoping to get the win on home ice.

In the first period, we killed off a penalty and scored short-handed. Reid Valade would score his eighth goal of the season to put the Rangers up 1-0. Roman Schmidt would add another for the Rangers on the powerplay, extending the lead to 2-0. Later in the period, the Soo would respond just halfway through the period, making it 2-1. We would take a 2-1 lead into the second period.

The Soo would tie the game 1:30 into the second period, making it 2-2. Both teams would exchange chances, but either was able to capitalize. Justin Nolet would fire a shot from the point, giving us the 3-2 lead. Later, the Soo would respond again on the powerplay, tying the game 3-3.

Justin Nolet would score his second of the game to give the Rangers the early 4-3 lead in the third period. Soon after, the Soo would answer, tying the game yet again. Mitchell Martin would score the game-winning goal on the powerplay, giving us the 5-4 win.

Pavel Cajan would stop 36 of 40 shots for the win.

Our next home game is Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 pm against the Owen Sound Attack.
