HAMILTON, ONT. - Austin Osmanski scored his first two goals of the season, including the game winner, as the Mississauga Steelheads (8-7-0-2) held on to defeat the Hamilton Bulldogs (6-9-0-0) 4-3.

Mississauga got the scoring started quickly in this one as a strong Steelheads forecheck led to a loose puck in front that was converted by forward Damian Bourne. The unassisted goal was scored at 1:10.

Hamilton would knot the game at 1-1 when Brandon Saigeon broke into the Mississauga zone and dropped a pass to Matt Luff who deked out Steelheads goalie Jack Flinn. Fedor Gordeev would get the second assist on the goal at 14:16.

At 9:21 of the second Osmanski would get his first of the night when he took a shot through a crowd that would beat Bulldogs starter Charlie Graham. The goal was assisted by Michael McLeod and Nathan Bastian. Just under two minutes later the Steelheads would go up by two when Graham came out to play the puck but was unable to clear it allowing Jake Smith to convert the chance and make it 3-1 at 11:11.

Mason Marchment would send the 'Dogs into the second intermission down by one when he buried a Jesse Saban shot that bounced off a Mississauga defender in front of the Steelheads goal. Stephen Harper would also get an assist.

In the third Osmanski would get another goal when he wired a slap shot from the point through a screen. McLeod and Alex Nylander would get the assists at 3:42. Hamilton would pull within one at 19:38 when Niki Petti worked his way through the Mississauga defence and dished the puck to Trent Fox who tapped it in. Harper would get his second point of the night with the second assist.

With Graham pulled for the final twenty-two seconds the Bulldogs would be unable to get any closer and would fall by a final score of 4-3.
