BOISE, ID- The Idaho Steelheads (1-1-0)- a day after shutting out the Victoria Salmon Kings (1-1-0)- were blanked by Victoria 4-0. Despite outshooting Victoria 39-29, Riley Gill held the Steelheads scoreless for his first professional shutout.

Milan Gajic scored the first two goals for Victoria- one in the first period, and one in the second period- to jumpstart the Salmon Kings.

At 10:16 of the second period, P.J. Atherton converted a point shot through traffic to give Victoria a 3-0 lead. Just 1:21 later, Derek Couture scored for Victoria, which marked the end of the night for Idaho starting goalie Tyler Beskorowany; he stopped 16 of 20 shots in just over 30 minutes of work.

Mike Zacharias relieved Beskorowany, and stopped nine shots.

The Steelheads failed to convert on 1:47 of five-on-three power play time late in the second period, and could not capitalize on a four-minute double-minor penalty against Victoria's Ryan Dingle.

Beskorowany takes the loss, and falls to 1-1-0. Gill is 1-0-0 after shutting out Idaho.

The Steelheads are back in action October 22 in Anchorage against the Alaska Aces. The team returns to Qwest Arena to take on the Utah Grizzlies on October 27th.
