Stealth Name New Starting Quarterback

Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth announced today that Heath Ridenour has been named the starting quarterback for Saturday night's game versus the Laredo Law. Ridenour is replacing Jonathan Beasley who has started the last seven games for the Stealth.

Ridenour has seen limited action this year, but came into last weekend's game versus the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz and finished 9-of-10 for 114 yards with one passing touchdown and two rushing touchdowns.

Ridenour (6-2, 205) is a rookie from Eastern New Mexico University. In 2002, he was 69-of-147 for 1,251 yards and nine touchdowns and rushed the ball 179 times for 932 yards and 13 touchdowns. During his junior year in 2001, he was as 51-of-105 for 834 yards and seven touchdowns, while running the ball 77 times for 112 yards and four touchdowns. Ridenour was named All-Lonestar Conference twice during his career and holds single game school rushing record with 294 yards versus Texas A&M-Kingsville.
