East Greenbush native Eddie K to hit stage with Montgomery Gentry

Albany, N.Y., July 20, 2004 – When America’s # 1 Country music duo Montgomery Gentry plays a full concert following the Albany Conquest arenafootball2 game this Friday at Pepsi Arena in Albany, N.Y., East Greenbush, N.Y native Eddie Kilgallon will be playing keyboard with the band.

Kilgallon, known in the music world as “Eddie K,” is a 1983 graduate of Columbia High School. He has been on tour with Montgomery Gentry since December 31, 2002. Friday’s concert after the Albany Conquest game will be the first time Montgomery Gentry has played in the Capital Region since Eddie K began playing keyboard for the band.

“In my year-and-half touring with Montgomery Gentry, this is the first time back home,” said Eddie K. “It’s going to be exciting because a lot of my friends and family haven’t had the opportunity to see us play yet because we don’t do a lot in the Northeast,” added Eddie K.

Prior to joining forces with Montgomery Gentry, Eddie K had spent 2002 touring with country artist, Chad Brock. He played piano, sax, and performed vocals for the band, Ricochet, from 1993-2001. During that span, Ricochet had a Gold Album and performed four top 20 hits, three top 10 hits, and # 1 Billboard hit "Daddy’s Money."

Eddie K. now resides in Nashville, Tenn. with his wife, Terry, and children Landon (6) and Eddison (3). He began his music career in New York’s Capital Region playing for bands that include Al Bruno and The Blue Light Special, Secrets, and with Miranda James, who is from Selkirk, N.Y.

Montgomery Gentry performs Billboard Magazine’s No. 1 single, “If you ever stop loving me” and released the album “You Do Your Thing” on May 18.

The game is slated to kickoff at 7 p.m. and the Montgomery Gentry concert will begin about 15 minutes following the conclusion of the game, which will be begin at about 9:30 p.m.
