Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release

Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce their first ever "Season Ticket Holder Tailgate Party," which will take place Saturday, July 24th at 6pm in the parking lot adjacent to the Pioneers' administrative office (275 Mundy Street, Wilkes-Barre Township, next to Smokey Bones).

"This weekend's game with Cape Fear is the biggest in the history of our organization," said Pioneers president Dave Berryman. "Unfortunately, we can't take our fans to North Carolina, so instead we're bringing the game and the party to our fans."

Season ticket holders can join Pony Express Dancers, Crockett, and the team staff while listening to the Pioneers battle the Cape Fear Wildcats for the af2's Northeast Division title and home field advantage throughout the 2004 playoffs. The game will be broadcast live in the WILK radio network (980 AM Wilkes-Barre, 910 AM Scranton, and 1300 AM Hazleton) beginning at 7:30pm. Food and beverages will be provided by the team, and season ticket holders will also be able to pickup their complimentary ticket for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's first home playoff game.

Anyone interested in attending this celebration may contact the Pioneers' office at: 570-970-4af2. Interested parties should R.S.V.P. no later than Friday, July 23rd.
