Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
Wilkes- Barre, PA., Area foster care children look for role models and guidance. Wendy's and The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers hope to fill those needs with Football/ Dance Clinic on Friday May 29th from 1-3pm at the Children's Service Center's Bridgeview Campus, 60 New Hill Street Wilkes-Barre PA 18702. The Pioneers and Wendy's met this season looking to take partnership into the community. Wendy's, who has been involved with adoption since 1991, has a great foundation - Wendy's Wonderful Kids that has worked with Foster Care Agencies in our Community. This led the duo to work with the Children's Service Center of Wyoming Valley, Inc. CSC is a 147 year-old community services organization that offers a full array of services including foster care/adoption programs in the Wyoming Valley. CSC provides foster care and adoption services for children requiring out-of-home placement within the community; designed to promote the safety, health, and well being of the children.
The relationship between Wendy's and CSC led the Pioneers to get involved in helping kids in need. A Football/Dance Clinic was born. The Pioneers look to meet and interact with the children of three locations at the Bridgeview campus. The Pioneers will throw a Clinic/ Picnic with the help of Wendy's sponsoring food for all the people involved.
