Amarillo Venom News Release
Amarillo, TX 5/26/09 - The Amarillo Dusters are at it again, supporting the Amarillo community this Thursday, May 28th at the annual Children's Miracle Network Radiothon and Celebration Broadcast.
Dusters players will be out at Baptist Saint Anthony Health Center (BSA) in Amarillo between 10am - 12pm answering phones for the annual Radiothon.
"We're so glad the Dusters will be able to stop by and take a brake from their busy schedule during the football season to help us out," said Children's Miracle Network Coordinator Kellie Tiner. "These football players will be helping out thousands of Amarillo children and more throughout the Texas Panhandle." We are so excited the Dusters were able to volunteer."
BSA, a co-ministry of Baptist Community Services of Amarillo, Texas and CHRISTUS Health of Irving, Texas, fosters an environment that allows employees to provide superior patient care in alignment with our mission-to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service and dignity.
"This is a special opportunity for our players to give back to Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle," Dusters General Manager Joe Morago echoed. "We are more than happy to help out the Children's Miracle Network in their annual Radiothon."
Amarillo (1-7) will play their next game on Saturday, May 30 in Boise, Idaho against the Boise Burn. Iowa (5-3) will suit up on Saturday, May 30 at home against Peoria.
