BEST IN OUR BARN: The big dogs stepped up for the Saskatoon Blades as they defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 5-2 at SaskTel Centre on Friday.

Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov and Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Fraser Minten recorded a pair of goals each. Minten's first of the night stood as the game-winner and now has 14 goals and 31 points in 30 games this season. Sidorov's three-point (2G, 1A) performance extends his point streak to four games, owning four goals and nine points through that stretch.

Captain Trevor Wong recorded a goal and an assist, improving his stat line to 13 goals and 76 points in 49 games. The 20-year-old center leads the team in points and is first in the WHL with 63 assists.

The Blades remained dominant on home ice with their ninth straight victory at SaskTel Centre, improving their record to 20-1-1-0 at home. The Blades widened the gap between them and the Tigers for first in the Eastern Conference, Saskatoon now sat at 35-9-2-3 with 75 points, 13 ahead of Medicine Hat.

NEXT GAME: The Blades continue their seven-game home-stand Sunday when they welcome the Brandon Wheat Kings.
